How Wren Uses Your Information On This Site
Version 1.0 · Effective 29 October 2026
Who We Are
This website is run by Big Trouble Labs Ltd, the company that makes Wren. Big Trouble Labs Ltd is the data controller for the information described here, which means it decides what is collected and what happens to it.

What This Notice Covers
The information collected through this website, mywren.co. It does not cover the Wren app itself, which tells you how it uses your information when you start using it.
What We Collect
- If you join the waiting list. Your first name and email address, and a record of your consent: when you ticked the box, and which version of the wording you saw. We also note that you signed up through this website.
- Standard web server records. The company that hosts the site keeps ordinary technical logs of visits, including IP (Internet Protocol) addresses, the numbers that identify a device on the internet, for security and to keep the site running.
Nothing you type into the form is stored on the website itself. It goes straight to Kit, the service that holds the waiting list. To stop the form being misused, the website keeps a count of sign-ups from each network address for one hour, stored only as a scrambled code from which the address cannot be read back.
This site uses no analytics, advertising trackers, embedded media, social media widgets or third-party scripts.
Cookies
This website sets no cookies and uses no similar storage, so there is nothing to consent to and no banner to dismiss.
Why We Use It, And Our Lawful Basis
The waiting list is used to email you about early access, the launch and other Wren news, as the box you ticked says. The lawful basis is your consent. You can withdraw it at any time, using the unsubscribe link in every email or by emailing us, and we will stop. Withdrawing does not make anything we did before unlawful.
The record of your consent is kept so we can show that you agreed, as data protection law expects us to be able to.
Server logs and the sign-up count are handled under legitimate interests: keeping the site available and secure.
We do not sell or rent your information, we do not use it to train AI models, and we make no automated decisions about you.
Who Else Is Involved
Two service providers run the waiting list and the website, on our instructions and for no other purpose.
| Provider | What they do |
|---|---|
| Kit (kit.com) | Holds the waiting list and sends our emails to it |
| Fasthosts | Hosts the website and keeps the server logs described above |
Where Your Information Is Held
Kit is based in the United States and holds the waiting list there, so joining it involves a transfer of your information outside the UK. Kit covers that transfer with the safeguards UK data protection law requires: the UK extension to the Data Privacy Framework, or the International Data Transfer Agreement approved by the UK Government.
The website is hosted by Fasthosts, in the United Kingdom.
How Long We Keep It
The waiting list is kept until you leave it. When you unsubscribe, Kit keeps your email address marked as unsubscribed, so you are never emailed again by mistake. If you would rather it were deleted altogether, email us and we will delete it.
Server logs are kept for as long as the host keeps them as part of ordinary operation. The sign-up count is deleted after an hour.
Your Rights
Under UK data protection law you can ask us for any of the following, free of charge, and we will respond within one month.
- Access. A copy of what we hold about you.
- Correction. Fixing anything inaccurate or incomplete.
- Erasure. Deleting it.
- Restriction. Holding it but not using it while something is resolved.
- Objection. Stopping use based on legitimate interests.
- Portability. Your details in a common format, to take elsewhere.
- Withdrawing consent. Leaving the waiting list, at any time.
Email privacy@bigtroublelabs.com. We may ask you to confirm who you are first, so that we do not hand your information to someone else.
Complaints
If you are unhappy with how your information has been handled, please tell us first and we will try to put it right. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office ('ICO'), the UK's data protection regulator, at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
Changes To This Notice
If how we handle personal information changes, this page is updated and the effective date changes. Material changes are described here rather than made quietly, and if they affect the waiting list we will tell you by email.
